Kraft Pizza Co., maker of DiGiorno pizza, broke ground this week on a 100,000-square-foot expansion of its plant in Little Chute.
The expansion plan includes a new parking lot and a new pizza crust and bakery line. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year, and production will start on the new lines in April.
The company plans to add 300 jobs at the plant with the expansion. The company recently closed its pizza-making plant in Sussex, eliminating 330 jobs there. Kraft said at the time that it would move the Sussex production to Little Chute.
Kraft also announced that it has won a three-year contract making DiGiorno the official pizza at Green Bay's Lambeau Field, with exclusive rights to sell pizza at the stadium.
