Die-casting firm sold to former owners

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Leggett & Platt Inc. (LEG) has sold its aluminum die-casting business to its management and Kenner & Co., a New York private equity firm that owned the business previously.

Included in the sale are two EST Division die-casting plants in Grafton and Oconto Metal Division, a finishing and painting business.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company will be known by its previous name, Pace Industries Inc., and based in Fayetteville, Ark. The company has 19 locations in the U.S. and Mexico, and more than $480 million in annual sales.

Leggett & Platt acquired Pace Industries in 1996 from Kenner & Co.
