10/N roundabout work to begin Aug. 4

This week’s road construction update from the state Department of Transportation:

Brown County:
U.S. 141 (Main Street) in Green Bay is reduced to one lane between Baird Street and the Fox River for concrete repairs through October. Wisconsin 172 remains limited to one lane in each direction between Airport Drive and U.S. 41, with nightly lane closures in the 172/41 interchange between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. through Aug. 1. Paving is taking place on Dousman Street between Military Avenue and Fisk Street; Dousman remains closed between Military and Platten Street through August. Brown County JJ (Eaton Road) between Manitowoc Road and Brown County EA (Cottage Road) remains closed through November. The detour is Interstate 43, Mason Street and County EA.

Calumet County:
Beginning Aug. 4, a roundabout will be constructed at U.S. 10 and Calumet County N, with the 10/N intersection closed through Oct. 1. U.S. 10 will be detoured onto Wisconsin 114 and Wisconsin 55, and N will be detoured on 114, 55 and Calumet County KK. The intersections of 10 and 55, 55 and 114, and 114 and State Park Road will be converted to temporary all-way-stop intersections.

Door County: Traffic on Wisconsin 57 will be restricted to one lane from one-half mile south of Cloverleaf Road to one-half mile north of Wisconsin 42/Door County MM through Aug. 1, with Cloverleaf Road closed during that portion of the 57 project. Four-lane traffic has been restored on 57. The Oregon Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will be open continuously for commercial vessels and open for recreational vessels at 7, 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m. through Aug. 15.

Fond du Lac County: The U.S. 151 bypass project continues between Fond du Lac County D and Wisconsin 175, with the 151/175 intersection closed through Aug. 25. Work on U.S. 41 between 151 and Fond du Lac County OO is suspended during the EAA AirVenture. U.S. 45 (Sixth Street and Fond du Lac Avenue) is closed through October; the detour is Fond du Lac County VV and Wisconsin 175.

Manitowoc County: U.S. 10/Wisconsin 310 remains closed between the Branch River and Manitowoc County R through August. The detour is Manitowoc County P, R, 310 and 10. The Interstate 43/10/310 interchange is also closed; the detour is 10 (Waldo Boulevard), R and P or 310. The U.S. 10 project in Manitowoc continues, with Eighth Street closed between Madison Street and Washington Street. Wisconsin 310 (Madison Street and 16th Street) remains closed between 14th Street and Washington Street.

Marinette County: Traffic on U.S. 41 is now on the new northbound lanes of the Peshtigo Bypass between Marinette County W and County Y; work is now beginning on the new southbound lanes. U.S. 41 is also reduced to one lane north of Peshtigo. Work continues on the Wisconsin 64 Little Peshtigo River and Peshtigo River bridges, with the bridges closed through November. The Little Peshtigo detour is U.S. 141, Marinette County P, and Marinette County W; the Peshtigo bridge detour is Marinette County D, Marinette County B, and U.S. 41.

Oconto County: U.S. 41 is reduced to one lane south of Oconto. Work is beginning on Oconto County J between Brown Road and Lilac Road.

Outagamie County: Wisconsin 96 is expected to open to traffic between U.S. 41 and Outagamie County A (Lynndale Drive) this week. Wisconsin 55 (Crooks Avenue) is closed between 18th Street and Seventh Street in Kaukauna; the detour is Wisconsin 96, Outagamie County N and Outagamie County CE.

Shawano County: Wisconsin 22 is closed between Wisconsin 156 and Wisconsin 29 through September; the detour is 156, Shawano County K and 29.

Sheboygan County:
Sheboygan County V is closed between Wisconsin 57 and Sheboygan County I through September; the detour is I, Sheboygan County N, Wisconsin 28 and 57.

Waupaca County: Wisconsin 22/54 is narrowed between Industrial Drive and the Canadian National Railroad tracks as part of the Waupaca east bypass project.

Winnebago County: The U.S. 45 expressway project and the Fox River Wisconsin Street Bridge project in Oshkosh are continuing.
