41 on new pavement in Oconto area

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation road construction update:

Brown County:
Brown County JJ (Eaton Road) is closed between Manitowoc Road in Bellevue and County EA (Cottage Road) until November for reconstruction. The detour is Interstate 43, Mason Street and County EA. Dousman Street in Green Bay is closed between Military Avenue and Platten Street through Aug. 29 for reconstruction. The detour is Military Avenue, Shawano Avenue, Oneida Street and Dousman Street. Nightly lane closures between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. are continuing through Friday on Wisconsin 172 between U.S. 41 and Airport Drive.

Door County: The Oregon Street Bridge project in Sturgeon Bay is continuing through September. Bridge leaves are down during construction through Tuesday, with one leaf raised weekdays at 7, 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m.

Manitowoc County:
The U.S. 10/Wisconsin 310 project between the Branch River and Manitowoc County R is under way, with 10/310, including the Interstate 43 interchange, closed. The detour route is Manitowoc County P, County R, 310 and 10. The 43/10/County JJ exit south of the 10/310 exit is the alternate exit. U.S. 10 (Eighth Street) in Manitowoc is closed between Madison Street and Washington Street for reconstruction through August. Wisconsin 310 (Madison Street and 16th Street) in Two Rivers is being reconstructed, with Madison Street closed between 14th Street and River Street, and 16th Street closed between Monroe Street and Washington Street. The detour is Columbus Street, Wisconsin 42 (Memorial Drive) and 16th Street.

Marquette County: Wisconsin 23 is being reconstructed from Marquette County M to Eighth Drive, including a new bridge at Ox Creek and a new cattle pass under 23. On Monday, 23 will close between County M and Ninth Avenue, with the detour Interstate 39/U.S. 51, Wisconsin 21 and Wisconsin 22.

Oconto County: U.S. 41 traffic is scheduled to be rerouted onto new pavement from Oconto County S near Oconto to Oconto County W beginning today, with traffic remaining on the old pavement between County W and Oconto County Y.

Outagamie County: The Wisconsin 76 reconstruction project between Wisconsin 54 and Bear Creek continues this month, with the detour for Embarrass River and Bear Creek bridge construction 54, U.S. 45 and 76. The Wisconsin 96 (Wisconsin Avenue) project will be open to construction for the rest of the project, although there be lane restrictions on 96 between 41 and Outagamie County A (Lynndale Drive). The 96/U.S. 41 interchange will be closed Monday from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Shawano County: The Wisconsin 22 Embarrass River bridge is being replaced, with 22 closed (except to local traffic) between Wisconsin 156 and Wisconsin 29 through August. The detour is Wisconsin 156, Shawano County K and 29. U.S. 45 is being resurfaced between Wisconsin 29 and the Shawano–Langlade county line through late October.

Sheboygan County:
Sheboygan County V is closed between Wisconsin 57 and Sheboygan County I through September for reconstruction. The detour is Sheboygan County I, Sheboygan County N, Wisconsin 28 and Wisconsin 57.

Waupaca County: Wisconsin 22 will close between Wisconsin 156 and Lake Wagner Road from Monday through late August for resurfacing. The detour is Wisconsin 156, Shawano County K and Wisconsin 29.

Waushara County: Interstate 39/U.S. 51 southbound is being resurfaced between Coloma and Plainfield through Thursday, with traffic restricted to one lane at 55 mph during the day.

Winnebago County:
Winnebago County E (Oakwood Road) will be closed between Witzel Avenue and Wisconsin 21 beginning Thursday until October for reconstruction. The U.S. 45 four-lane project is continuing, with 45 closed between Winnebago County II in Winchester and County GG in Winneconne through August.
