The Internal Revenue Service has postponed from Aug. 13 to Aug. 29 some filing deadlines for taxpayers in Wisconsin counties declared disasters because of flooding.
According to the IRS, the postponement is for filing most returns “or to make tax payments, including estimated tax payments, with respect to a return with an original or extended due date occurring on or after June 5, 2008, and on or before Aug. 29, 2008.”
The counties include Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Manitowoc, Marquette, Sheboygan and Winnebago counties.
