Paper Converting Machine to host conference June 3–5

Paper Converting Machine C0., a division of Barry–Wehmiller Co., will host a technology conference at its Cormier Plant in Ashwaubenon June 3–5.

The conference will introduce the Forte, PCMC’s state-of-the-art high-speed rewinder line to the paper industry, along with several pieces of supporting equipment that will revolutionize the tissue and towel converting industry, according to a company news release.

Two hundred paper industry professionals representing 35 companies from around the world are expected to attend the conference, which includes a social event at Lambeau Field.

Robert Chapman, CEO of Barry–Wehmiller, will be the keynote speaker at the conference on Wednesday, June 4 at 9:30 a.m. Chapman has spoken at the national level highlighting the unique combination of leadership and Lean principles that are the cornerstone of Barry-Wehmiller. Gov. Jim Doyle, U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen (D–Appleton), Brown County Executive Tom Hinz and Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt have been invited to attend.

PCMC employs 850 at four locations within the Green Bay area, and 1,150 worldwide with offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, China and Italy.

Barry–Wehmiller of St. Louis is focused primarily in the design and manufacture of machinery for the converting, packaging, and beverage industries with revenues of $1.1 billion.
