Fond du Lac and Marquette counties have been added to the list of federal disaster areas from flooding.

Additional counties have been declared disaster areas as Federal Emergency Management Agency inspectors have toured flood-damaged communities this week. Today’s announcement brings the total number to 15 counties where individual assistance will be available to flood victims.

Previously declared federal disaster areas were Columbia, Crawford, Dodge, Green, Milwaukee, Racine, Richland, Sauk, Vernon, Washington, Waukesha and Winnebago counties.

On Friday FEMA teams will visit Calumet, Green Lake, Jefferson and Lafayette counties and on Saturday Walworth County.

A flood warning remains in effect for the Fox River in the Berlin area. At 2:15 p.m. the Fox was at 15.76 feet in Berlin, above flood stage of 13 feet. It is now expected to crest at 16.1 feet Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
