Gov. Jim Doyle announced today that individuals in eight additional counties may be eligible for disaster unemployment assistance caused by the recent storms and floods.
Workers in Fond du Lac, Marquette and Winnebago counties who are not currently receiving unemployment benefits may apply for assistance ranging from $134 to $355 a week if their work has been disrupted by the storms and floods.
Individuals self-employed in farming and other businesses in those counties also may be eligible for benefits.
