Marcus Theatres is expanding its ability to show 3-D movies to 12 additional cinema complexes in Wisconsin and other states, the company announced today.

Marcus Theatres, a division of Marcus Corp. (MCS), already operates two digital 3D systems in New Berlin and Madison. In Wisconsin, the new systems will be installed at Bay Park Cinema, Green Bay; Marcus Cinema at the Renaissance, Sturtevant; Marcus Majestic Cinema, Brookfield, and Menomonee Falls Cinema.

The new systems will be installed in time for the July 11 opening of “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” which was shot in 3D.
