Voting Members of the Oneida Tribe will take a look into their one-time per-capita payments from casino profits ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 Saturday.
Saturday’s proposal has six options for the Tribe to consider. In five of the proposals, the offer is a one-time payment with totals ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 per capita. The sixth option could raise the annual per-capita payment from $800 to either $1,200, $2,000 or $2,500.
These changes could cost the tribe anywhere from $89 million to $322 million.
Last year’s one-time per-capita payout totaled $88 million, dispersed to the approximately 16,000 Oneida tribe members in Wisconsin. The payment ranged from $5,000 to $10,000.
The General Tribe meeting starts Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Turtle Elementary School, N7125 Seminary Rd., Oneida. Doors open at 8 a.m.
